We are pleased to provide a promising update on our ongoing efforts to engage with the government of Lebanon. Recently, representatives from the WED had the privilege of meeting with officials at the Lebanese Embassy to discuss our shared interests and potential avenues for collaboration.

This constructive dialogue marks an important milestone in our journey towards building deeper connections with Lebanon. Despite initial concerns, we are encouraged by the genuine interest shown by the embassy in understanding our proposal and exploring its potential implications.

The time taken by the embassy to engage with us underscores their commitment to considering innovative ideas and fostering partnerships. We view this meeting as a positive first step towards nurturing a fruitful relationship with Lebanon.

We are thrilled to announce that we have initiated a productive dialogue with the diplomatic representatives of Lebanon at the embassy in The Hague.

During this constructive exchange with the embassy, we successfully arranged a meeting between the head of mission and our secretary general.

Our objectives of diplomacy and broader global implications were met with enthusiasm and open-mindedness by the representatives of the Lebanese embassy.

We eagerly anticipate further developments and the prospect of fostering a special collaboration with Lebanon.

Strength of the WED

A positive effect of the WED will be that its actions will not affect the relationship between states. After all, states are not the ones who will act against the state that violates the international agreements; the WED will act on behalf of all members, while the member states will just act according to their commitments to the WED.

Another positive outcome of the WED will be that states will not be able to abuse their economic or military power to force others to act according to their will or to accept a breach by them. After all, by doing that, those states are not only breaching international agreements but also intending to make innocent civilians suffer only for their own agenda. Indeed, just as we as humans may not force our neighbours to live as we see fit, states may not force this on other states, either.
