THE GAMBIA

We take great pleasure in sharing an important update on our diplomatic outreach to The Gambia. We recently extended an invitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs to collaborate and engage with the World Embassy Desk by sending a comprehensive letter outlining our initiative and the mission of our organization.

We are delighted to confirm that both the Gambian Embassy and the esteemed Minister of Foreign Affairs have promptly acknowledged the receipt of our communication. Their swift response underscores their dedication to engaging with our proposal and exploring potential avenues for partnership.

Moreover, we are encouraged by the indication that our documents have been shared with the relevant authorities for further review and consideration. This demonstrates a genuine interest on behalf of Gambian officials in delving into the substance of our proposal and evaluating its potential impact.

As we eagerly await further developments, we remain optimistic about the prospect of productive engagement with The Gambia. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Gambian Embassy and the Minister of Foreign Affairs for their responsiveness and interest in our initiative.

Strength of the WED

A positive effect of the WED will be that its actions will not affect the relationship between states. After all, states are not the ones who will act against the state that violates the international agreements; the WED will act on behalf of all members, while the member states will just act according to their commitments to the WED.

Another positive outcome of the WED will be that states will not be able to abuse their economic or military power to force others to act according to their will or to accept a breach by them. After all, by doing that, those states are not only breaching international agreements but also intending to make innocent civilians suffer only for their own agenda. Indeed, just as we as humans may not force our neighbours to live as we see fit, states may not force this on other states, either.
