We are pleased to provide an update on our recent diplomatic meeting with Iraq. Our delegation was warmly received by the Plenipotentiary Minister in the Netherlands. The Minister expressed great enthusiasm for our initiative and actively engaged in the discussions.

He conveyed his excitement about the potential collaboration and is already looking forward to organizing the next meeting. Additionally, he showed strong interest in presenting our initiative to the capital, further solidifying this promising partnership.

We are excited to announce a key development in our diplomatic efforts with Iraq. As part of our mission to enhance international cooperation and dialogue through the World Embassy Desk (WED), we recently sent a comprehensive letter detailing our initiative to both the Iraqi Embassy and the esteemed Minister of Foreign Affairs.

We are pleased to report that our outreach was warmly received. The diplomatic staff graciously facilitated a meeting with the Plenipotentiary Minister in the Netherlands, marking an important first step in what we hope will be a productive and long-lasting relationship.

Iraq, with its profound historical and cultural significance, is a vital partner in the region. Engaging with such an important country is a significant achievement for the World Embassy Desk. We look forward to the collaborative opportunities and insightful exchanges that lie ahead.

Strength of the WED

A positive effect of the WED will be that its actions will not affect the relationship between states. After all, states are not the ones who will act against the state that violates the international agreements; the WED will act on behalf of all members, while the member states will just act according to their commitments to the WED.

Another positive outcome of the WED will be that states will not be able to abuse their economic or military power to force others to act according to their will or to accept a breach by them. After all, by doing that, those states are not only breaching international agreements but also intending to make innocent civilians suffer only for their own agenda. Indeed, just as we as humans may not force our neighbours to live as we see fit, states may not force this on other states, either.
