Prime Minister Netanyahu Arrives in Budapest

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed from Tel Aviv on April 2, 2025, and arrived in Budapest on April 3, 2025 at 2:38 AM local time.

During the overnight flight, the Prime Minister’s plane entered Greek airspace at 23:15 UTC, then proceeded through several European countries. The aircraft exited Greece and entered North Macedonia at 23:28 UTC, transitioned into Serbian airspace at 23:36 UTC, and finally entered Hungary at 00:09 UTC.

The visit comes amid international controversy, as the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant against Prime Minister Netanyahu. Under international law, member states of the ICC, including Hungary, are obligated to arrest individuals under such warrants. Failure to comply could lead to legal and diplomatic consequences for the states involved.
